Supplies


  • 1 FabricMate Pastel Set which contains one each of
  • Aqua (20PQ)
  • Strawberry (20PP)
  • Suede (20PE)
  • Mist Grey (20PN)
  • Lavender (20PV)
  • Dusty Rose (20PB)
  • "onsie" or childs shirt
  • pencil
  • clear or white Contact Paper™ cut to size of the design.

Preparation


  • Prewash and dry garment to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or stain protector products.
  • Print out the provided design. Click here for the design.
  • Transfer the design to the garment via your favorite method, enlarging as needed.
  • Turn the garment inside out and apply the contact paper to the area to be decorated. Turn right side out. This will make the shirt material hold still and prevent bleed through to the other side of the garment.
  • Coloring
  • With the Aqua pen, color background behind clouds (leaving the clouds white)
  • Continue with Aqua pen and color stems and leaves of tulips.
  • Color tulip petal area and ducks with dusty rose.
  • Color in bunnies with Strawberry.
  • Using point of lavender pen, make small dots below wavy line under the bunnies.
  • Continue with Lavender and color in every other diagonal space at the bottom of the design.
  • Using Mist Grey color upper portion of whales only.
  • After the design has completely dried, continue coloring.
  • Using lavender, color in the background behind the tulips.
  • Color in grey behind the bunnies.
  • Use suede to color duck background.
  • Next, use aqua behind whales, taking care to leave the underside of the whales white.
  • Continue with aqua for extra line of zigzag between ducks and whales.
  • Use the Strawberry color to fill in remaining diagonal areas at bottom of design.

Tips


Allow design to dry so that colors will not blend where they meet.
