Instructions

Wash garment with detergent and do not use fabric softeners or additives. Washing will remove the sizing in the garment so the dye penetrates the fabric. Let the garment dry and iron if needed.

Lay a sheet of dressmakers transfer paper onto the fabric and cover with the flower pattern design. (Click here for a printable pattern)
Trace the design on the back of the paper with a ballpoint pen to transfer a design onto fabric. Place the paper carbon side down between the fabric and the design. Trace over the design with a tracing wheel or a pen.

Color the largest flower first using the pastel pink and create shadows using the alizarin crimson while the dye is still wet. The colors will blend nicely for a shaded effect. Color in the remaining flowers with pink (refer to closeups for color combinations)  Leave some of the flowers white and color the yellow flowers with solid yellow and shade  with orange for a blended effect.  Color the light blue flowers and shade with blue. After the flowers are colored, let them dry and proceed to color the green areas with the light green and shade with the green. Let the design dry completely, then detail all of the traced lines using the Permawriter pen. Use the .03 for delicate lines and the .07 for thicker lines.

Let the garment dry for 24 hours before laundering.
