Instructions:
String about 20 to 30 beads on a strand
of Mizuhiki®. Make about 4 to 5 beaded strands. Pick up all
strands at once and glue the ends into one of the spring findings.
The cement should be strong enough to hold the cords. After the
cement is dry, carefully twist the cords with the beads a few times,
then trim the ends to length you want the bracelet. 6 to 7 inches
is an average size. Glue the other end into a spring finding with
the craft cement. Arrange the beads by sliding them along the strands.

Mizuhiki® cords are twisted
paper wrapped in pretty metallic colors. They were used primarily
for wrapping gifts in Japan but have found their way into
many crafters toolboxes. You can use them to decorate greeting
cards, picture frames and more. Check back with us soon to
see more projects with Mizuhiki! |
| Mizuhiki® can be used in place
of lanyard to make pretty beaded animal shapes like in the
picture here. You can find the patterns at many craft stores.
Just use the same size beads as you did in the bracelet and
follow the pattern. Tie the ends at the tail with a slip
knot. |
