Instructions:
First lay out newspaper to protect
your work surface. Place origami paper on the surface colored
side up. Dampen your sea wool sponge and squeeze out excess water.
Put some gold interference acrylic in a shallow tray and mix
with just a drop of water. Take your sponge and pick up as much
interference color as it will hold, then dab the color lightly
onto the origami paper alternating directions with the sponge
as you go. One load of the sponge will cover quite a bit of origami
paper. Repeat the entire process with the violet and blue interference
colors. This process is quite stunning on the black origami but
is also beautiful on the white.
Tip:
Stamp random designs on the paper with pigmented
inks, then spray lightly with clear acrylic spray for a durable
unique paper that you can use for any origami or paper project.
